[FIX] .gitlab-ci.yml: Apply changes from project template to set vars

Luis González requested to merge vauxoo-dev/xunnel-account:11.0-use_gitlab_variables-luisg into 11.0

This change takes advantage of a script introduced in maintainer-quality-tools, which allows to set Travis CI's variables, taking their values from GitLab CI's variables. This was causing some lints to not run on MRs, e.g. checks for XML files.
